Gesha Peaberry coffee beans are the result of a natural mutation of the coffee cherry. Typical coffee cherries have 2 have seeds however, cherry that has the peaberry mutation only has 1 single coffee sead (e.g. bean).

Peaberries tend to have a much more pronounced flavor compared to non-peaberry beans from the same harvest. This is due to the fact that the bean is a lot more moisture dense which in turn captures more of the flavor as opposed to when the seed/bean is divided in 2.
